images #72/73 from the book; 2 from a set of 6, they are depicting the psychological effect of winter darkness and cold, from the season's beginning to it's receeding; when winter knocks at my door, it finds the whole house clammed-up, specific windows over the north, 100 square feet of them closed with insulation panels, the main entrance also blocked-out; then, the in and out from my huge place goes through the panel on which the oak trunk lies; it is in a corridor to my 35x35x12/15' high workshop; in winter, it becomes a kind of buffer space before going out to the car or around my paths; notice how the general tonality varies; these two here are more on the stylized style, colours are increasingly saturated, as is the hope for the end of the big white; february sees the light expanding and the rays start to 'deliver' a bit of heat to my rooms on top third level;
