Regimes museum Journal Volume 10, Issue 1 celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Regimes Museum and the RM Journal. This issue contains a ground-breaking article by our very own resident historian that focuses on the Ani-fascist Resistance Fighters who joined the Dirlewanger Brigade during WWII before some of them would become members of East Germany's secret police forces. This article is the first of a series that will shed light on a hidden story that shows how history can repeat itself. The feature article is from Dr. Veselina Uzunova, winner of our Essay Competition, whose article sheds light on the deportation policy of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria between 1944-1953.
