Restore Magazine-December 2022 Edition

December 2022, is the when we get into the thick of the Advent season. Advent is a season recognized and practiced by many mainline Christian denominations. It is a season that is simultaneously celebrated with the Christmas season and is hopeful, anticipation of the soon return of Jesus Christ. We choose this time of year as Christians to contemplate how it may have been for the ancient Israelites as they waited for the arrival of a Messiah in their midst. The Messiah, as far as we believe it has come and is actually soon to return, with each passing year that becomes more of a reality of the believer. So it is a time of reflection, meditation, and expectation just as it is with the rest of the world as it waits for the transition into a new calendar year.
