Paco-vicuña! Here's a story. How to get "vicuñas" into North America when it's illegal to export them from South America? You find animals that have vicuña characteristics but whose DNA says they're alpacas! Then you breed, select and create standards, to end up with animals that have vicuña-like fiber. A unique component of this document is a discussion of the steps required to conscientiously and effectively create a new breed. (Paco-vicuña in South America is a hybrid: totally different meaning.)

Printed document plus free digital version; 8x8" publication. This document contains a combination of theory and practical knowledge for fiber arts enthusiasts of all skill levels. The handouts are heavily illustrated.
