Earl Miller (TellMeMeow)
Penthouse Magazine’s most published photographer Earl Miller has contributed thousands of one-of-a-kind and first-of-a-kind layouts for Penthouse, Hustler, The Picture Premium and several other well-known US and worldwide men’s lifestyle publications.
Miller celebrated forty years of adult work in 2012 and that same year was honored by his peers for his newest, most ambitious work with two AVN (Adult Video News) awards. His wins for Best Photography Website (EarlMiller.com – his membership website in operation since 1998) and Best Web Premiere for his ten scene fantasy series Earl Miller’s Pictures at an Exxxhibition came more than ten years after his induction into AVN’s own Hall of Fame in 2001.
Although best known for his prolific work in adult erotica that alone doesn’t fully encompass his photographic interests. As early as 1973 Miller’s efforts were recognized in mainstream media and advertising as exemplary. He garnered a Creativity Award, from Creativity International Awards, one of the longest running independent advertising and graphic design competitions, for a photo he constructed featuring Edward G. Robinson in an American Stair-Glide Corporation ad which appears in Creativity #3 (1974) and his work with mainstream book publishers led to a Best Overall Design, Special Editorial Report or Section Ozzie Award for Top Vertical Markets in Systems Integration a technology related publication released in 1989.
While consistently stocking his library with both the newest and most well-known adult glamour models he also lends his talents as director of photography to fashion, fitness, athletic, alcohol, hotel, resort and cruise line related mainstream advertising campaigns for clients such as Hilton International, Hotel Jerome (Aspen), and Disney’s Big Red Boat. In addition to being responsible for many rock and comedy album covers he’s also created the photography for Tova Borgnine’s book “The Tova Difference” and the 2013 Nick Hawk™ Gigolo campaign for California Exotic Novelties including a 76 page full-color sexual positions book.
As the only staff photographer of The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour throughout the show’s run (1971-1974) Miller photographed the star couple, their (then) daughter Chastity and guest stars including Carol Burnett, George Burns, Glen Campbell, Tony Curtis, Farrah Fawcett, Merv Griffin, (a young) Michael Jackson, The Jackson 5, The Temptations, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ronald Reagan, Burt Reynolds, The Righteous Brothers, The Supremes, Chuck Berry, Jim Nabors, O.J.Simpson, Joe Namath, George Foreman, Paul Anka, Kris Kristofferson, Andy Griffith, Lassie, Vincent Price, Truman Capote and Dick Clark.
Miller’s attention has also become fixated on a special subject of grace, elegance, and beauty. Cats.
Big cat collaborations with animal trainers have resulted in some of Earl’s favorite images. However, it’s been his experience being loved by his own rescued housecats that has drawn him to formal cat portraiture.
Although Earl was honored to have served as the official photographer for both a CFA show and a TICA show he finds greater joy taking pictures of his own pet housecats for fun and the community’s homeless cats that need his help the most for charity. To honor his all-adopted/rescued feline family he frequently devotes his time to photographing homeless cats and kittens in search of their forever homes.
