Elaine Calenda (TallOne3)
Elaine Calenda began her journey of recovery in her early twenties after alcohol abuse brought her to an all-time personal low. Guided and pushed by a caring friend to the nearest A.A. group, Elaine struggled through the unfamiliar waters of 12-Step culture, doubtful that she would make it past the early days of her new-found sobriety. She did.
Against all odds, with the help of her Higher Power, Elaine persevered and went on to become a nationally known educator and highly esteemed professional in the healing arts. Famous for her zany humor, Elaine was fiercely dedicated to helping others improve their lives. She maintained a deep commitment to her own sobriety until her death from cancer in August of 2012 at the age of 54.
This book is Elaine's final creative work. She wrote it in loving gratitude and generous compassion for all who share the path of recovery.
