Pete has been retained as a consulting organizational psychologist for Madison Square Garden in New York since 2002. There his focus has been on helping highly talented professionals work effectively across MSG’s sports, entertainment, and multi-media portfolio. He builds strategic partnerships with senior leaders to maximize their team's capability. This includes identifying performance strengths and shortfalls and recommending or personally implementing action plans for improved results.From 1999 to 2002, Pete served as Vice President, Leadership Development for Cablevision Systems Corporation in Bethpage, NY. He directly supported the company’s strategic transition to broadband by leading corporate restructuring initiatives, designing and facilitating off-site management conferences, assessing and coaching senior leaders, and implementing process improvement programs. Before moving to Cablevision, Pete was Leadership Development Practice Director for Saville & Holdsworth Limited, SHL, an international consulting firm headquartered in the UK. From 1993 to 1999 he held primary US responsibility for leadership training, individual assessment, new leader transition, team development, and organizational culture change projects. In 1990, Pete co-founded Olsen Stern; a Cleveland, Ohio based consulting practice focused on the alignment of people with business strategies to drive bottom line performance. The practice was sold to SHL in 1993.Pete has a PhD in Psychology from Case Western Reserve University, and MA and BA degrees from the University of Akron. He has delivered major presentations at many professional conferences, including IQPC, Society for Industrial Organizational Psychology, and Linkage, and also published in Boardroom Reports, Executive Excellence, HRD Quarterly, and Personnel Magazine.
