Hand Print Workshop International (HPWI) (nzcreative)

We are a non-profit artist workshop based in suburban Washington, D.C. HPWI is dedicated to creating innovative collaborative printmaking projects and sharing our artists’ unique perspectives and ideas with local national and international communities.

Work created at HPWI has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. We offer visiting residency programs for artists from the U.S. and abroad, internships for high school and university students, and educational programs including lectures and exhibitions by our artists. Since 1997, HPWI has sponsored more than 70 artists in residence, many of them leading artists from the former Soviet Union.
