**Music Business Background** I Was East Coast Label rep for “Earth Song Entertainment/Raven Production” I worked closely with industry vet Chaka Khan in the capacity of public relation and technical writer. I worked the “Jam of the Year” Concert at the new “MCI Center in 1999 w Prince, Larry Graham and Chaka.

From 1999 to 2003 I interned at Hidden Beach Recordings in the Marketing and Promotion/ A&R Department. I worked the grass root promotional pre CD release campaign for Jill Scott and Brenda Russell simultaneously as both artist release dates were on the same day. During Phase 2 after the release of Jill’s and Brenda’s CD I would continue my aggressive grassroots efforts by cold calling regional retailers, mainstream and college radio stations, in store visits (checking inventory), passing out promotional flyers and samplers at various high end events i.e. concerts, plays, seminars, conferences and fashion shows. I helped to maintain a very large HBR online presence, scout new talent, submit artist and producer packages, review and rate newly signed artist such as Kindred and others, and continue to work new releases such as Darius Rucker and Mike Phillips.
