Chelsea stotts (modamuneca)
In February 2009, at age 16, Chelsea Stotts (based in Milwaukee, WI) developed and constructed a line of women’s clothing called Moda Muñeca (MM) (Spanish for Fashion Doll) and since has worked hard to become a pivotal part of the Midwest fashion scene. MM represents how every woman should look/feel; fashionable, regardless of ethnicity or shape, because "Every woman deserves to be a Fashion Doll".
MM focuses on a sexy feminine silhouette with a high fashion touch & each piece is handmade by Stotts herself. She is mostly self taught with some college training as well as experience from her paid externship (2011) with Harley Davidson's fashion design department, in which she was asked to continue a month past her original end date.
MM hopes to create awareness for youth with talent, as well as spread awareness about Lupus because, like Stotts, the MM woman is intelligent, aware & doesn't let obstacles stop her.
At 6 years in, Moda Muñeca is now gracing reality stars. MM has been published in various local papers & magazines, as well as international magazines. MM showed at Midwest Fashion Week (Indiana) receiving great reviews & even being said to have "stole the show!" Due to this great showcase, MM was requested to show at the National Black Chamber of Commerce fashion show this past summer (Illinois). MM currently holds the first ever title of RAWMilwaukee Fashion Designer of the Year (2013) & hopes to continue down this successful road.
