Katy Carroll (Katinka)

I love the interplay of color and pattern, especially in the combination of lace and cables. I like for my designs to be both an achievable goal for an adventurous beginner, yet also an enjoyable knit for a more experienced knitter.

My pattern-writing goal is to make “stand-by” pieces - those knits you reach for again and again because they are fun to make, lovely to look at, and easy to wear. My favorite knitting technique is cables - cables make everything better.
