Gary Palmer was born Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1968. After gaining a Masters degree in Architecture at the University of Edinburgh, he traveled around the world as a street-painter. He is one of the world’s leading exponents of 3D anamorphic perspective with a unique narrative style. His work has been featured in festivals in Europe, Australia, and the US, and recorded in a book by RJD Enterprises, entitled, ‘A Carpet of Dream’. Gary has undertaken commissions for murals and paintings for the Ulster Museum, Belfast, won a competition for a public Artwork in London, and painted murals for music videos, and feature films in Hollywood. His work was featured at last year’s Biennial del Sur in Panama. Gary’s work on canvas is characterized by a series of anthropological paintings, based on a journey to from Lake Malawi to Zanzibar Island, focusing on the traditions and lifestyle of societies who live in close symbiosis with their natural environment. He now works from his studio in Venice, California, and his work will be featured at the upcoming International 3D Street-painting Festivals in Lelystad, and Arnhem, in Holland.
