Minister Carenda Deonne McCray (Lady C) is a vibrant, pulsating and charismatic minister and conference speaker. Carenda is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. She received her BA degree in Business Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, New York. Currently, Carenda is the President and founder of Far Above Rubies Enterprise ()
Far Above Rubies is an organization that creates women empowerment, motivating women to be the best that they can be emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The organization is purposed to be a women’s guide to spiritual growth and holistic development. As Carenda leads her Far Above Rubies staff, the organization has had the opportunity to feature women of inspiration such as First Lady Michelle Obama, Victoria Osteen (First Lady of Lakewood Church) and Serita Jakes (First Lady of the Potter’s House).
Far Above Rubies has been highlighted as the Get ‘Em Girls of the week (a division of Simon and Schuster publishing company and On Daily Balance with Kim Jacobs that airs as a Nationally Syndicated Program on The Word Network. Far Above Rubies was also the recipient of the Black Essence Business Award. In addition, Far Enterprises has launched its yearly “FAR Movement Conference” a time for women to come and be refreshed and motivated to pursue their purpose and destiny.
Min. Carenda is a published author and writer of three books. Her first book, Soul of a Poet was published in 2007. The Wait to Success (contributing writer) and her latest book, “Perfect Patty Messed Up Devotional.” Min Carenda currently has a weekly podcast show that airs Tuesday’s at 8:30pm EST. that discusses real life, real women, real issues. Min Carenda previously partnered with Lady Louise Patterson, wife of the late Bishop GE Patterson, to host two minute inspirational messages for women on their radio station in TN. Min Carenda is also a contributing writer for Grace and Glory Magazine in Baltimore, MD.
Min Carenda received her license to preach August 2007 under the leadership of Bishop John A. McCullough. Minister Carenda also finds time for community service and is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Above all; she models all that she does for Christ from Romans 8:28-31. Believing that her steps are ordered by God and that she is indeed chosen and sent to do His will.
Min Carenda is a member of Lee’s Chapel AME Church where Rev. Timothy Johnson is the Senior Pastor. She is happily married to the Rev. Dr. Michael A. McCray Sr. and is currently a graduate student at Regent University pursuing a Masters in Law degree. Above all, Min. Carenda is a woman living on purpose to inspire others to live happy, healthy and whole. Min. Carenda’s humble spirit and unforgettable presence, is one that you will never forget.
