CD Smith never imagined he’d be an aspiring author. He excelled in the subject of English in both high school as well as college however not until he married in 2008, a fellow author, was the flame that lie dormant inside him for well over 15 years, suddenly rekindled. CD Smith’s passion for reading and the spoken word led him to a desire to share with his audience, aspects of his adolescence and early adult life. Over the past two years, following closely in the footsteps of his wife, CD Smith set forth on a mission to hone his craft. He began with freelance article writing, editing and even tried his hand at ghost writing projects for several local authors. Working in corporate America in IP management services for the past 10 years served its purpose; however he knew that his heart and talents lie elsewhere. His debut novel, “Faithfully Yours” was published in June of 2011 and stands testament of his love for writing. Currently, CD Smith is finishing his sophomore novel, “Good Girl Gone Bad”, the first installment of the ‘Guddah Girlz’ trilogy which is sure to make quite a splash in the literary world. He is looking forward to providing his readers with fresh, compelling characters, true to life situations, crisp imagery and a unique story telling style that will keep his readers hungry for more. He is currently attending Full Sail University, in his final year of a Bachelors’ Degree in Creative Writing. CD Smith, his wife and daughter reside in Detroit, Michigan along with their lovable Boston Terrier, Pablo.
