Cheri Homaee (chomaee)
Cheri Homaee’s art career spans fifty years as a painter, a photographer and art instructor. Ms. Homaee was the solo artist in shows including Clarkson University (Adirondacks) and Marysville Public Library (Beauty in Black and White), Western Reserve Bank(Pretty Ladies) She also was a featured artist in Brooklyn Artist Gym (Evacuating Motherhood), Beachwood Center (Cleveland Project), Cleveland City Hall (Cleveland Project), True North Cultural Center (Red, White and Blue) and June Art Review (Cleveland). Born in Steubenville, Ohio, Ms. Homaee graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University. She is a member of the Cleveland Photographic Society and Brecksville Center for the Arts Studio B, Board member of Brecksville Center for the Arts.
Statement: My style is classic, organized chaos with romantic overtones. I prefer soft natural light, rather than the harshness of studio lighting. I create images that guide the viewer to escape.
