A.M. Metivier (AMetivier)
A.M. Metivier has won 11th place in the 13th Annual Writer's Digest Short Short Story Competition, the Wainwright Award, the NCTE Award for fiction writing, and the Castleton State French Essay Writing Contest- twice (first and second places). She is, however, fairly certain that most readers do not give a rats patootie about such things. So for the interesting stuff: she can knit (poorly), thinks research is FUN (seriously), and is on a never-ending quest to find a replacement foot for her 40+ year old sewing machine (not even on Ebay...).
A.M. lives in New England (which really isn’t any more shiny than Old England) with a family, a poodle, and a refrigerator, but does not watch television. She is in the midst of final revisions for the epic Victorian fantasy series- The Changeling Chronicles. This series combines elements of history, fantasy, and mythology to weave a tale of intersecting universes and conflicting cultures. A novella prequel will be released at the end of 2013. The first two books of the series will be coming out in 2014. Her family sends her care packages of chocolate and Moxie soda when she has not emerged from revision limbo for several days. They understand (even if she does not).
