These are polyhedral construction kits - designs that can be cut out folded and glued to create beautiful 3d polyhedra. They are mostly one of the Platonic solids (tetrahedron cube octahedron dodecahedron icosahedron) but include variations and derivations that are also puzzles toys and expository models. They are generally richly decorated with some subtley relevant colorful pattern.
