People come in many shapes, sizes, and styles. Some are short, others tall. Some are engineers and intellectuals, others are artists and creatives. Some live for the limelight, while others fear speaking to a group larger than two or three. While some might be perceived as irritatingly optimistic, others are self-ascribed realists. Despite our differences, and perhaps because of them, we are human.

The Human Project aims to discover and embrace this humanity. In our beauty and our brokenness, we are human & that is a wonderful thing

The Human Project took place as a voluntary community art project on December 4th, 2009 at Azusa Pacific University. After having their portrait taken, participants were asked to write three statements: 1. a naming statement 2. an identifying statement 3. a human statement
