Shedders Magazine is a grassroots project started by a group of teenage girls living in the slums of Kibera, just outside of Nairobi, Kenya. The aim of the project is to raise awareness around issues within Kibera through the eyes of young women, highlighting both the joys & challenges of life in the slums. The project came out of the Kibera Girls Soccer Academy, a free secondary school using education, arts, and athletics as a way to empower the young women of the Kibera slums.
