The Imagine Photo Club is a joint project between the Family Centered Care and Art departments of Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit and Stillscenes photographer James Fassinger. Its aim is to help children cope with their ongoing hemodialysis treatments at CHM and provide them with a venue to convey their thoughts and feelings about their condition to hospital staff, family members, friends and the public at large.
Through the use of documentary photographs taken by the children and the program’s photographer, practitioners, family members, and others seeking to enhance the delivery of Family Centered Care at CHM will be able to gain insight into the child's perception of his/her medical condition, treatments, and interaction with their world.
