Stolen Moments

Publisher:
Robert Hecht
Since:
2024

A collection of sixty-five fine art photographs illustrating Robert Hecht’s individual way of seeing and responding to the visual world. “His is a Zen-like eye,” the editor and publisher of LensWork, Brooks Jensen, has written, “finding the extraordinary in the ordinary.” In Hecht’s introductory essay, he traces his personal journey as a photographer over the last half century—from his early, mostly derivative work to finding his own way and vision as a mature artist. His credo is Pictures Are Everywhere. As he writes: “They are the result of being in a near-constant, receptive state,” one which for him makes creating art inevitable.
