SURPRISE/LICORICE/HOUSE

Surprise/Licorice/House is the result of a collaborative drawing project between three art programs along the west coast. These drawings were created using the Exquisite Corpse drawing technique, a drawing game created and practiced by the Surrealists in the early 20th century. Artists at each art program started out by drawing one section, which was then mailed to the following program. Drawings would arrive folded so completed sections would not be seen, aside from connection lines, and would then be added to by a new artist. This process continued until all three sections of the drawings were finished. This magazine presents the completed images from this project.
