Anything walking earth 'has' soles, either grown or self made or made to fit along a kind of understanding; either for physical feet or for framing eyes along an 'ordered' social path, morality being the optimal contraption used to 'adapt' a one to another's one own so called 'reality';
At the end of one's own life span, shoes are always recycled for they are made from a stuff alien to the wearer and so much more flexible that a pair has the flair for fitting whatever is flinged into it's own assets, melting around those 'invaders' only to make sure those get where they should, as ordered from above and beyond, never to be bothered by their surrounding;
So the shod animal just trots towards an unknown destination over an unknown land, while the soles use the now shod opaquely heavy mass to crush it all under themselves just because of the weight, the animal weight;
Ignorance at work, soles trampling all over, while evolution just keeps on recycling all things, just slightly different.
