Wrangell Narrows Poster. The Wrangell Narrows is a waterway separating Mitkoff island and Kupreanof Island in South East Alaska's Pan Handle. the Wrangell Narrows has been described as a narrow waterway filled with Navigational Hazards. It is such a narrow passageway that large ships, such as cruise ships cannot navigate. It also boasts wonderful fishing grounds.
