Did You Know?
Between October and March, the average New Yorker will use 75% of the fuel that they use throughout the entire year. Halfway through the winter, there's a good chance that the soot and carbon buildup in the boiler can significantly impact the efficiency and cost of operating your boiler. To avoid this, call our boiler service halfway through the winter for a thorough boiler cleaning and ensure your boiler operates at its peak. On a mild day, around 40 degrees, in December, January, or February, call Custom Boiler Cleaners to clean you boiler. Your system will be shut down between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., and the service will be finished by noon. Why should you do this? A quarter-inch of soot could cause a loss of approximately 25% efficiency, forcing you to use more fuel to get the same result.
