In 1984 Chrysanne Stathacos went to Europe with a suitcase full of small votive sculpture carved in Africa. They become her travelling companions to the ancient ruins of Delphi, Aegean caves, and many other European locales. On her return Stathacos came across a Rosicrucian ad announcing "Were You There?", which forms the narrative to her journey . . .
