Open House - Susan Dobson

The book Open House features photographs of domestic suburban interiors by photo-based artist Susan Dobson, along with an essay by independent curator, writer, and editor Shannon Anderson. Dobson approached this photographic series as if on an archeological dig, where every detail becomes rich material evidence. In suburban homes that share similar, mass-produced architectural features, Dobson uses her camera to document the basic desire of homeowners for self-expression.
