The photos challenge both the Muslim expectation of propriety and voyeurist attempts to penetrate behind the closed doors of intimate space. Providing an alternative view to the realities of Muslim youth, the series explores the tension between public and private spaces, privileging complexity over the stereotypical assumptions often found in popular culture and media.
