During the fall of the 2013-2014 school year, my students and I placed pinhole cameras at various locations across the Savannah Country Day School campus. Each camera, made from recycled aluminum cans, contained a sheet of 5”x7” light sensitive paper. Each camera also had a small pinhole drilled in its side, which when uncovered, allowed light to enter the can and record an image on the photographic paper. The exposures began the second week of October 2013, and continued throughout the duration of the second quarter, ending in late December 2013. Each photograph depicts a period of time of about 1,800 hours.
