This book is a companion piece to the 2014 Exhibit at The Center for Wooden Boats that tells the story of the families and boats of the historic Seattle-based halibut fleet and celebrates the 100-year Anniversary of the Fishing Vessel Owners’ Association that operates these boats. Some boats in the fleet were made of wood during World War 1 and are still bringing fish home to market.
