HE GARAGE DOOR STOREY is the quintessential Language Photography text, of Saunders come down from the Milk Crate with 11 color negatives recruited as pages in signature to record structures of meaning in latex paint's surface adhesion to particle board; beginning as prose, documentary identification and proceeding onto an epic poetry - but what is TGDS a poetry of? This the lucky hands that behold the original BOOK-LET, pause not to wonder. Instead thumbs liking to slide and linger amid wonder at the wordless speech of the photographs while the Storey crumbles, furls, chips, reveals and proclaims itself unable to resist the call for its own demise, and the grim Scraper to come that someday soon will make a mess of it all, swept, collected and dumped into the nearest Sunset Scavenger Toter – it is Fate that TGDS depicts, and tho the facsimile is a paltry shadow of the real thing – it has pictures of saddle stitches along side its coil bind,
