Joyce Gordon Gallery presented, “SLIDE” in June of 2013. This exhibition partnered visual and literary arts in order to deepen the act of storytelling. Seven short stories are translated into the mediums of painting, mixed media, sculpture, video, and photography.
"Slide" is a collection of short stories written by author Monica Zarazua. Selected artists were asked to produce artworks that relate to the theme of the stories. Their work explores the overlaps between the visual and written arts. The stories expand and deepen as different artists express what is most true for them
