The photographic series, Me, You, and MacLehose, is a depiction of an odyssey.

From January to May of 2012, I hiked the MacLehose Trail, a 100-km trail located in Hong Kong’s mountainous and subtropical New Territories. I relied upon my familiarity with photography to make sense of a foreign environment – acting as viewer and subject along this journey. The photographs are a contemporary extension of the traditions established by early twentieth-century travel photographers while simultaneously portraying the contemporary view that the “virgin” landscape is a fantasy and that place is a human construct.

This exhibition catalog features twenty full-color photographs printed in the same dimensions as my exhibition prints (vertical images being the only exceptions).
