The thought behind this piece is to suggest the significance throughout history of the red moon and incorporate the different themes of theology and mythology. The tree signifies life; concrete and strong, close to it's life-source completely unaware of eminent danger. The figures can signify much, danger to the tree, to themselves, or each other. And of course the moon in it's ascension as a warning mirrored in the water, illuminating and reflecting the present and uncertain threat.
