A year of photographs of exhibits at Griffith Observatory reveals but a small part of the $93-million renovation and expansion of the Observatory that re-opened its doors to the public on 3 November 2006, in its 72nd year since its original dedication in 1935.
Visitors, cast in the role of observer, explore our relationship with the universe through the fundamental questions of what do we observe?, how do we observe it?, and why it is important?

Photographs by Bruce Bohannan and Matthew Thompson.
