A knitting pattern for a child-sized raglan sleeve zip cardigan inspired by vintage athletic wear. The sweater is primarily worked in stockinette stitch, however, contrasting color slip stitch rib “racing stripes” on the sleeves, and seed stitch panels keep it interesting. The body and sleeves are worked separately, side to side on a circular needle, joined at the underarm and worked together for the raglan yoke. Stitches are picked up along the front edges for a zipper band with a contrasting color inside facing. Pattern is written for children’s sizes 4 (6, 8, 10, 12).
