Dedicated to all the crazy mothers of the world, including mine.

Sometimes I think it was all the hair dying, cosmetics and AquaNet hairspray. Combined with tragic life experiences. That made my mother into who she is today.

When I was little my mother was God-like, she was my creator and I viewed her as such. As I got older many different experiences shifted my beliefs in her.

I experienced life on my own and I started to think of my her as a person. The God like belief dissolved and was replaced by empathy for humanity.

The mind shift helped me to try and understand her and also forgive. These photographs were taken during her 57th year while living with me.
