It’s hard to describe to anyone outside of Kenya how each of these shared taxi vans called matatus are living entities. They have unmistakable personalities. They are covered with graffiti phrases that can inspire, warn, and nourish the soul. Over time I noticed these phrases from separate matatus can be part of a whole. Threading together to communicate poems & songs specific to eyes that behold them. This book is a collection of the poems my spirit was compelled to form; documented and displayed through photography.
