Storytelling photography is a lifestyle, a unique way to view the world and appreciate it’s mundane beauty. It doesn’t require a fancy camera or special lighting, and you become sensitive to your environment and the things that surround you. Two people can walk the same street and see two different versions of it, therefore, each photo is self-contained: having it’s own story, it’s own timeline, it’s own emotion. When witnessing story- telling photography, a piece of the photographer themselves will always be included: their point of view, their narrative, their feelings.

Lighthouse Town is the first project that introduced me to documentary photography on film. It was a beautiful challenge, having to try out various techniques and only shooting using my instincts. This body of work has initiated self-reflection, helping me understand and see myself in a new light. The following work was shot in Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia during the month of March 2022.
