The Romanov is one of the Northern short-tailed breeds, with several unusual qualities relating to productivity, maternal instincts, and wool quality and harvesting. Romanovs are noted for having litters of lambs, instead of the usual singles or twins. Romanov wool sheds, and is a mix of fiber types.

This document covers where Romanovs originated; when, why, and how they got established in North America; and how to approach wool fibers that initially seem unappealing but can be turned into serviceable and interesting yarns.

Printed document plus free digital version; 8x8" publication. This document contains theory and practical knowledge for fiber arts enthusiasts of all skill levels. The handouts are heavily illustrated.
