David Pace’s most sustained photographic project was his ten-year series of photographs in the rural village of Bereba in West Africa. He wanted to observe and record the intersections of tradition and modernity in the village, to “document the changes occurring at an ever-faster pace, and to create a visual record of the time shared with the community.”
