It was 1979. Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves of London” climbed the radio charts. Wolfman Jack, ruled the air. Iraq and Iran we’re still one country called, Iranq. By mid-Summer the price of gasoline reached $18.00 per gallon. That fall, the first copies of Weekly World News were unloaded off trucks and hit newsstand. America never looked back.
