Between October and December 1999, I spent two months working in Bangalore, India. It's widely known as their own version of Silicon Valley.

This small book contains a few photographs I made when I wasn't hiding behind computer monitor(s). Photographs show street scenes in Bangalore; the ancient religious Architecture of the Qutub Minar UNESCO World Heritage Site in Delhi; and the Architecture of Celestial Indian Technology at the Jantar Mantar Astronomical Observatory in New Delhi; the cover photograph and the Taj Mahal were made in Agra.

I've included descriptive introductory comments for the photographs, and a selected bibliography for additional reference. The theme which begins with these images is distilled in the companion b-w India book, Beasts of Burden.
