Klondike Stories is fictional depiction of the 1897 Klondike Gold Rush, written and illustrated by architect, author and artist Jim Leggitt. This book paints a very clear picture of resilience and a sense of perseverance with stampeders working in tandem having left civilization behind them, pitching in to assist each other, hauling tons of supplies, living miserly in tents, maintaining flexibility in difficult moments, forming teams to construct boats, learning how to navigate lakes and rapids, and supporting each other with a mighty Yukon solidarity equal to other mass migrations to parts unknown. Whether it was traveling thousands of miles over oceans, trails and rivers in 1897 to reach the Dawson gold fields or struggling over two thousand miles of the Oregon Trail fifty years earlier, all were heroic individuals with a kindred goal of finding a better life for themselves - and becoming wealthy discovering gold in the Alaskan wilderness.
