This book features photos I took over a one year period, while taking daily walks around my neighborhood during the Covid pandemic in 2020 and 2021. These walks heightened my appreciation of the small, beautiful, unusual and unforeseen details of daily life and the cycles of time and seasons. As real travel was impossible, I tried to mentally live as a traveler, while of necessity staying close to home. Most of these images were captured while taking my dog on daily walks near my house. As shelter in place orders were declared, the downtown of my home city, 5 blocks away, began to seem like an exotic and far away place. It seemed like a post apocalyptic ghost town, suddenly abandoned in the center of the heart of Silicon Valley, but filled with a quiet, serene and sometimes tense and intense beauty - God is in the details.
