Why Bad Oyster? ‘Cause it’s got no purls! (I slay me.) This shawl/scarf is knit entirely in the round, and then steeked open, a process which also creates the fringe pretty painlessly. Great, low pressure introduction to steeking! The stockinette body would be a great canvas for lace or cables, even colorwork since it’s in the round. Have fun with it!
Uses US size 4 needles (you’ll need some way to do small circumference, such as dpns or a long needle for magic loop, as well as circulars to handle it as it grows. I did the entire thing on a 16 inch, but it was a bit crowded at the end.)
Gauge isn’t important, and I used less than a full skein of Mal Sock. You could, of course, keep going until it’s bigger.
