A collection of 15 works from the "Scratchboard" series by the artist Susan Fishgold. A scratchboard is a clay-coated board with a surface layer of black ink, on which the composition is formed by many scratches, then color is applied. In all my work I try to get beyond the surface of the image to capture the life within the form, so this media fascinates me. - Susan Fishgold
