Within Walking Distance

This series was created to capture the allowed “one hour of exercise” during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown of 2020. This affected millions of us living in the UK, being only permitted outside to buy food or for one hour of exercise. In this short period of time, Paul Towers recorded the eerily quiet motorways and main roads at rush hour, closed business and amenities, the long lines of people outside supermarkets and finding new patterns in human behaviour.
