Harlem Sewn Up: Quilted Reflctions of a Community is a vibrant catalogue including art and text featured in the 2009 exhibition of the same name. HSU was presented by the Dwyer Cultural Center in Harlem, NY as their inaugural exhibition and ran for 6 months. The artists featured are: Bisa Butler, Dr. Myrah Brown Green, Michael Cummings, Adriene Cruz, Ife Felix, Laura R. Gadson, Diane Pror Holland, Harlem Gils Quilting Circle, and Faith Ringgold. All were either raised or currently live or work in the Harlem Community. Laura R. Gadson is the creator of this publication as well as the curator for the 2009 exhibition.
