The Manx Loaghtan sheep's home is the Isle of Man, in the Irish Sea between Wales and Ireland. Its story is one of both conservation and genetic limitation: the breed's survival depended on an advocate who loved the recessive brown color, and cultivated it exclusively. All Manx Loaghtan sheep are now brown. Its story also includes its importance to the human inhabitants of the island and the economic sacrifices they have chosen to make to secure its health. As a conservation grazer, the breed is also linked to salvaging environments.

Printed document plus free digital version; 8x8" publication. This document contains theory and practical knowledge for fiber arts enthusiasts of all skill levels. The handouts are heavily illustrated.
